This document is to help you understand the nature of our counseling relationship and your rights as a client. Please review it carefully and let me know of any questions or concerns.
Artist Eye Counseling is committed to providing accessible, evidence-based therapeutic services that recognize every individual's unique strengths and creative capacities. By integrating creative therapy methods, mindfulness, and a person-centered approach, we walk alongside our clients to facilitate positive change, set meaningful goals, and build authentic communication.
Philosophy and Approach: We strongly believe in the inherent potential for growth and healing within every individual, regardless of their background. We see the counseling journey as a collaborative process, where we walk alongside you, helping set goals and facilitating positive change. Recognizing the creative nature of humans, we leverage creative therapy methods, mindfulness, and a person-centered approach to ignite the therapeutic process. As unique beings, we all possess different expressive styles, and we believe that by tapping into various forms of expression, individuals can enhance their ability to communicate authentically. Our holistic perspective acknowledges the interconnectedness of biological, psychological, social, cultural, and spiritual dimensions in the healing journey. Additionally, we draw on evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Theories, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Practices, and Motivational Interviewing to address issues effectively. Through these creative methods, we aim to guide you towards a deeper understanding of yourself and your circumstances.
Formal Education and Training: I hold a master’s degree in counseling from Portland State University (PSU). My major course work focused on rehabilitation counseling and included Psychosocial Aspects of Disability, Counseling Theories and Skills, Group Therapy, Counseling Ethics and Diagnosis and Treatment Planning. I am a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC), which is a specialization in working with adjustment to chronic illness and disability.
As a Licensed Professional Counselor with the Oregon Board of Licensed Professional Counselors and Therapists, I abide by its Code of Ethics. As a certified CRC I will abide by the code of ethics for the Commission on Rehabilitation Counselor Certification (CRCC) as well. To maintain my license and certification, I am required to participate in 100 continuing education hours per five-year period, taking classes dealing with subjects relevant to this profession.
Fees: At Artist Eye Counseling the pricing is as follows: $180 for individuals. $190 for couples and $40 for group counseling. Individual and couples’ sessions are 53 minutes in length.
