Seeking People for an ADHD & Autism Support Group for Adults

Have you been diagnosed with ADHD, Autism or other neurodivergence? Are you looking for a safe space to connect with others who truly understand your experiences? At Artist Eye Counseling, we’re excited to introduce our Neurodivergent Support Group for Adults—a virtual space for people who are or suspect they are in this category to share, learn, lean, and grow together.

What Is This Group About?

Navigating life as a neurodivergent adult can be both challenging and rewarding. This group is here to provide:
Connection: Meet others who “get it” and share similar experiences.
Support: Gain insights, tips, and tools to navigate neurodivergence in everyday life.
Growth: Embrace your unique strengths and learn to advocate for your needs.

We’ll explore topics like managing overwhelm, navigating relationships, finding self-acceptance, and much more.

Group Details

🗓 When: Thursday mornings at 10:30 AM, once a month.

📍 Where: Virtual sessions on Google Meets—join from anywhere!

💰 Cost:

  • OHP Insurance: Accepted!

  • Cash-Paying Members: $60 per session.

Duration: 90 minutes.

👥 Group Size: Limited to 10 participants per session to keep the space intimate and impactful.

Group Structure

  • Closed Group Format:

    • Membership is limited to 10 participants per session to maintain intimacy and ensure everyone has a chance to contribute.

    • You do not need to attend every meeting, but once accepted into the group, you will be expected to attend 8 of the 10 sessions.

  • Duration: Each session lasts 90 minutes.

  • Facilitator: A skilled, neurodivergent-friendly professional will guide the group to maintain a safe and productive environment.

Each session will focus on a specific theme, with room for open sharing and discussion. Topics may include:

  • Understanding Neurodivergence: Exploring the diversity of experiences within neurodivergent identities.

  • Coping Strategies: Tips for managing overwhelm, executive dysfunction, and burnout.

  • Building Relationships: Navigating friendships, family dynamics, and romantic partnerships.

  • Self-Acceptance and Advocacy: Embracing your unique strengths and learning to advocate for your needs.

  • Work and Career Challenges: Strategies for workplace accommodations and managing stress.

  • Creative Self-Expression: How art, music, and writing can help in emotional regulation and self-discovery.

  • Mental Health: Balancing co-occurring conditions like anxiety, depression, or OCD.

Participants will have the opportunity to suggest future topics as the group evolves.

  2. Complete a brief intake form that will be emailed to you to confirm eligibility.

  3. You'll receive a calendar invite with the Google Meets link once it is accepted.

  4. Registration will close close on February 14th. The start date will be revealed once capacity has been reached.
